FEW TIPS ABOUT AUTO BRAKE INSPECTION

Getting the brakes inspected on your vehicle, is noted to be one of the most important safety inspections. It should be carried out on a regular basis. If you check the brakes regularly, it is certified to be safe for both you and your passengers.

Here, are a few tips that will certainly help you to carry out a brake inspection.

Tip 1

Start with the brake discs. The discs feature a shiny surface with thin grooves that are shallow and even all the way around. When maintaining your brake discs, it is very important to notice if there are any rough patches present on it or any of the grooves have worn out. This requires you to replace the brake discs as soon as possible for the vehicle to run smoothly.

Tip 2

Keep a check on the brake fluid of your vehicle. Using the correct type of brake fluid for your vehicle is a necessity. Due to the uneven levelling of the brake fluid, the brake pads might wear out thus, causing damage to your vehicle. The level of the brake fluid should not drop below 2/3.

Tip 3

Brake pads when worn out can damage the brake discs underneath. A regular check on the brake pads will save you in the long run.

Tip 4

Regularly check the rubber along the brake line. Stiff or cracked coating of the brake line should be replaced in order to prevent them from corroding.

Tip 5

The brake rotor thickness depends on the vehicle model. Every time you replace the brake pads, the rotor thickness keeps on decreasing. If you find that the rotor thickness is not under the desired range, it should get replaced.
